In recent times, there has been an increasing focus on overall wellness and the importance of addressing mental health as an integral part of it. Our local community is facing significant challenges when it comes to mental well-being. Various factors have contributed to this situation, such as the Covid pandemic, the influence of toxic social media, political stressors, and the effects of remote work.
With the recognition of these challenges, there is a growing awareness of the need to prioritize mental health and take meaningful steps towards promoting well-being. August has been designated as Wellness Month. During this time, efforts are made to raise awareness of the resources available to support mental health and overall wellness.
Lite 105, along with our partner NAMI is committed to playing a role in this movement. Throughout the month, we will be promoting local resources with the intention of fostering a greater understanding and empathy within the community.
Our aim is to collaborate with the community to create a supportive environment that mitigates the impact of mental illness and promotes overall well-being. By joining forces, we hope to inspire positive change and encourage individuals to prioritize their mental health as an essential component of their overall wellness journey. Together, we can work towards building a healthier and more resilient community.
