The Rhode Island Radio & Television Hall of Fame has announced the Class of 2026.
Congrats to Lite 105’s Heather Gersten, co-host of the ‘Heather & Matty’ show and the Wicked Awesome 80’s Show! Heather has been waking up Southern New England for 23 years and also acts as the radio station’s Assistant Program Director and Imaging Director. She can also be heard 10a-3pm on Lite 105’s sister station, The Wolf.
Congrats also to Art Soares, who was heard for 27 years on Lite 105. You know him as “Art Spencer” and he hosted the evening love show program called “Lite Nite.”
Lite 105 also celebrated its 40th Birthday last June and will be honored at this year’s ceremony.
Other inductees include Will Gilbert (Former Lite 105 On-Air Weekend Host), Sara Wye, the late Bill Rappleye, Les Breault, and Jim Hummel.
The RIR&TV HOF ceremony takes place at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick on 9/24/26. Tickets will be available here.
