KPop Demon Hunters is marking its first anniversary with a series of fan events tied to the animated film’s June 20 milestone.
Netflix has announced anniversary screenings in theaters across the U.S. and internationally, along with free outdoor sing-along screenings in several American cities. The events begin June 19 in Salt Lake City, followed by screenings in Atlanta, San Francisco, San Diego, Brooklyn, Butte, Minneapolis and Cleveland on select dates.
The celebration will also include activities at Netflix House locations in Philadelphia and Dallas on June 20. The Philadelphia location will host screenings throughout the week.
The anniversary also follows a breakout year for EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, the real-world voices behind HUNTR/X, whose song “Golden” earned major award attention, including an Oscar win and a Grammy win for the track.
A KPop Demon Hunters world tour is also planned, extending the franchise’s reach beyond the screen.
