Blair and I talked about his new book “A Soldier’s Wife” about his mother’s remarkable life. She pursued fashion in 1950s Manhattan, became the first Black executive at an all-white firm, then married his Army Colonel father and supported our family while traveling the world. Blair says the book is 50 years in the making and honors her legacy of grace, resilience, and the belief that all things are possible.
