Event Logistics
What time is the Masquerade Ball? The event runs from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Doors and check-in will open at 5:45 PM.
Where is the Ball located? The Ball is held at Ochre Court on the campus of Salve Regina University: 100 Ochre Point Ave, Newport, RI 02840
What is the evening schedule?

5:45 PM: Doors Open & Check-in

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Cocktail Hour, Time to mingle, purchase roses for a great cause (see below) and take pictures in front of the staircase!

7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Buffet Dinner

8:15 PM – 10:00 PM: Prize Giveaways, Dessert, and Dancing
Are there age requirements? Yes, this is a 21+ event.
Arrival & Entry
How do I check in? There is no need to print or bring physical tickets. Simply provide your name at the front check-in desk. Please ensure your entire party is present when checking in.
Where should I park? Free parking is available behind Ochre Court. Guests may be dropped off at the main entrance before the driver parks the vehicle. Please note that valet service is not provided.
Will there be a coat check? Yes, a coat check will be available for all guests.
Is the venue accessible? Yes. Since the event is held entirely on the ground floor, Ochre Court is generally handicapped accessible.
Dress Code & Photography
What is the dress code? The dress code is Black-Tie Optional. Guests are encouraged to wear tuxedos, suits, evening gowns, or formal cocktail dresses. Period-style costumes (inspired by Bridgerton, The Gilded Age, or Downton Abbey) are also welcome. As this is a Masquerade Ball, masks are highly encouraged!
Where are the best spots for photos? The main staircase, featuring the iconic red velvet carpet, will be open for photos. Please note that access to the second floor is not permitted. Karen Moriarty Photography will be there taking portraits in front of the red staircase. You will get a free digital portrait from Karen, and you may order more from her as well. You can also take pictures with your own camera!
What about the horses at the entrance? Our friends from the New England Carriage Company will be at the entrance during arrival. You are welcome to take photos with the horses, though guests are not permitted to climb into the carriage.
Will there be flowers that I can purchase for a great cause? YES! It IS Valentine’s Day after all. Thanks to Carbone Floral Distributors for donating beautiful roses for us to sell. 100% of the flowers sold will go to benefit The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.
Dining & Seating
What is on the menu? Dinner will be served buffet-style. The full menu is posted below for your review.
Will there be a bar? Yes. There will be two bars serving a selection of cocktails, beer, and wine. Both cash and credit cards are accepted.
Is seating assigned? Seating is open (First come first served) and features round tables for eight. When you check-in, you will be given a seat card which you can then place at a table to reserve your seat for the night. For those of you who have already reserved a table of 8, please check-in and you will be given your table number.
Entertainment
Will there be dancing? Absolutely! Music will be provided by Music Express. We will begin the evening with classical selections and transition into contemporary favorites for dancing later in the night.
What prizes can I win? Every guest has the chance to win concert tickets and a pair of 1.5 carat earrings from Hannoush Jewelers, valued at $5,900.
Which Lite 105 personalities will be there? Heather, Matty, Amy, Vic and the rest of the Lite 105 staff will all be in attendance and look forward to meeting you! Please introduce yourself!
Can we access the back terrace? Yes, the back terrace will be open, offering beautiful views of the Newport Cliff Walk.
