The Wolf School: A Place of Learning and Transformation
Does your child struggle in their current school because of sensory, social, or academic challenges? Are they struggling to succeed despite their potential?
The Wolf School in East Providence uses the immersion model to help students reach their full potential through therapeutic occupational, speech and language therapy in addition to their curriculum.
The Wolf school is a private K through 8 school with a 4 to 1 student-to-teacher ratio. Founded in 1999, the school has a reputation for providing an exceptional educational experience for complex learners who face sensory, social, and academic challenges. At The Wolf School, students are given the tools and support they need to succeed, both inside and outside the classroom. Their mission is to inspire confidence, compassion, and a love of learning
The Immersion Model © is the cornerstone of The Wolf School’s unique teaching philosophy. This model immerses therapeutic support into the curriculum, allowing students to receive occupational therapy and speech and language support throughout the day, in every classroom. The small class sizes, with no more than 9 students in a lower school class and no more than 11 in a middle school class, and the 4:1 student-teacher ratio, ensure that each student receives personalized attention and support.
Each classroom is led by a special education certified teacher, and staffed by at least one teacher assistant, a speech and language pathologist, and an occupational therapist. These dedicated professionals work together to provide students with the best possible education, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. With small group and individualized instruction, hands-on lessons, and frequent movement activities, students are able to increase their focus and prepare themselves for learning.
The Wolf School’s mission is to inspire complex learners to discover confidence, compassion, and a love of learning. The school is committed to helping students reach their full potential, and is proud to offer financial aid to families in need.
